The Labour Day Weekend this year also included Brazilian Day Canada celebrations in Nathan Phillips Square.

Brazilian Day began in New York City in 1984 to celebrate the country's Independence.

Toronto is home to many, many Brazilians.

Inevitably, The First Brazilian Day Canada was held in 2009 in Toronto, being broadcast on Globo TV International. 2013's entertainment included Gusttavo Lima. And you didn't need to know Portuguese to enjoy the music!
