Bike Courier, was studying to be a Stand up comic

Darcy Allan Sheppard, 33, died in a fatal accident involving former Ontario attorney-general Michael Bryant on Monday night, August 31 2009.

On May 25, 2010 Mr. Bryant got off the hook, so to speak.

On May 21 2013, a few days before third anniversary of that decision (on May 25 2013), Allan Sheppard Sr. released documents he fought long and hard for via Freedom of Information requests.

Memorial was held at the Native Canadian Center of Toronto Located at: 16 SPADINA RD ( NORTH OF BLOOR ST W) ON Monday, SEPTEMBER 7TH, 2009 FROM 2PM-4PM.

In Memoriam of Darcy Allan Sheppard. October 11, 1975 - August 31, 2009. Sons of by Jacques Brel. Cycling, Messenger, and members of the wider Toronto community pay respects to the Sheppard family on their loss.

Sept 7, 2009 - ARC Memorial For Allan Sheppard

ARC - Advocacy for Respect for Cyclists organized a memorial for the Darcy Allan Sheppard on the one week anniversary since his passing.

ARC has organized memorials for all Toronto cyclists killed in traffic since 1996.

Memorial Information Updated: Monday, September 7th - 7:00 p.m. Meet at Bloor and Spadina, south-east corner.

Depending on numbers of people turning out, we will either bike or walk our bikes from Bloor and Spadina to the site of the makeshift memorial.

ARC is expected to bring a Ghost Bike in memory of Al Sheppard to be placed at the location of the makeshift memorial just east of Avenue Road, on the south side of Bloor Street.

Darcy Allan Sheppard Fundraiser

Sheppard, who worked for a courier company, was the father of an infant son. Raising funds to help pay for his burial:

This is a fundraiser to help pay for the burial costs of Darcy Allan Sheppard who was tragically killed Monday August 31, 2009 at Bloor St West and Avenue Road.

This fundraiser is being organized by TOBMA-Toronto Bike Messenger Association, (416)859-4283.

Saturday, September 19, 2009 at 8:00 p.m.

Details have yet to be confirmed as to location of this event but the date is firm. Please come out.
