Geoff Pollock, born August 2, 1973, is the Conservative Party of Canada candidate for Toronto Centre. Pollock became the acclaimed candidate in September 2013. He lives in the riding with his family and has a keen understanding of local issues.
Pollock is a lawyer whose practice focuses on civil litigation, wills and estates and real estate. He has extensive experience in the financial sector and has worked internationally. He started his career at General Electric as an Acquisition Integration Leader for their European M&A team. Previously; he was also the Vice President, Corporate Finance for MFK Investment Bank in Kiev, Ukraine and worked for the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).
Pollock volunteers as Pro Bono duty counsel, through Pro Bono Law Ontario, to provide free legal advice and representation for persons of limited means. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Winston Churchill Society for the Advancement of Parliamentary Democracy and the International Churchill Society (Canada).
He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Richard Ivey School of Business Alumni Association (Toronto).
He received an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business as well as a Juris Doctor and an Honours B.A. in Political Science from Western University.
Pollock was also a Commissioned Officer with the Canadian Army Reserves.
His Father was a Toronto Doctor who lost his license for a number of months as a result of stealing money from his patients, which was considered an ethical breach.
