Canadian International Air Show
September 1, 2 & 3, 2007
The 59th Annual Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) takes over the CNE skies Labour Day Weekend.
The CIAS has a tradition of being one of the best air shows in North America.
This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the CF18, the official theme of this year’s show. The CIAS is thrilled to have the CF-18 perform in the show, welcoming "Crank", a homegrown fighter pilot, originally from Etobicoke, Ontario. The CIAS will also be recognizing the 60th Anniversary of the US Air Force, having dedicated Sunday's show to our military comrades to the south. The CIAS is honoured to be hosting several representatives from the Canadian, United States and British Forces as our VIP guests over the weekend.
Military aircraft presence will again be strong at the 2007 show, featuring the United States Air Force F-22 Raptor, the CF-18 Hornet, the CP-140 Aurora and a US Navy Legacy Flight. Other performers will include the The Snowbirds, Patty Wagstaff’s amazing aerobatic show in her Extra 300S, John Mohr flying his bi-plane Barnstormer, Manfred Radius in his high-performance glider, Rick Volker and his high-energy show in the Russian Sukhoi SU-26M.
The Starfighters have had to cancel their performance at this year’s show.
