History
This was the second labyrinth successfully created in Toronto by The Labyrinth Community Network (LCN) — a group of volunteers who value the experience of walking or tracing a labyrinth.
The first was the High Park Labyrinth, at Hawk Hill in High Park.
Before the bricked labyrinth in Trinity Square Park, there was an grass labyrinth. It was seasonal and only really walkable through late spring and into early autumn. The grass version was the same Chartres 11 lane design which exists now.
After four years of the grass labyrinth being there, money was successfully lobbied for and awarded to created a permanent year-round labyrinth.
