The Henthorne Performing Arts Center is the home of the Heller Theatre and the Clark Youth Theater. It is part of Tulsa Parks, and located in Henthorne Park. The George Kaiser Family Foundation is a financial supporter.
The facility began as a recreational center. The opening date is unknown, but a January 9th 1959 Tulsa World article states that is is almost complete. Around 2009, it was converted into a performing arts center with a black box theater, as well as construction, dressing, rehearsal, and storage spaces. The Heller Theatre group moved from its 27 year location in Heller Park to the new facility for their 2009-10 season, according to a Nov 22nd 2009 Tulsa World article.
It is currently run by Frank Gallagher
