Kaiser Permanente is a health maintenance organization. They have a newly opened full service hospital in Vacaville, with 24 hour Emergency Services. It is located right off of Interstate 80 at the Leisure Town Road exit.

The brand new state of the art hospital opened on October 6, 2009. It features 150 beds and an Emergency Room. The hospital is 340,000 square feet and has four stories.

Trauma Center Kaiser Vacaville is a Level III Trauma Center. Trauma Centers provide a higher level of medical care to critically injured or ill patients. The Emergency Room is open the public.

24 Hour Pharmacy Kaiser Vacaville has a 24 hour pharmacy that is open 7 days a week.

Kaiser Permanente consists of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and The Permanente Medical Group. The health plan is non-profit however, the Permanente Medical Group is for-profit and gets all of its money from the Health Plan.

Additionally when someone calls the general information number, the emergency room information should be the FIRST number mentioned so that a caller dealing with a family emergency can get immediate assistance!
