BENN, GORDON
Gordon Benn was born January 10, 1937, the son of Horace Benn and Maude Nellie Irene Horton of Sprucedale.
Gordon joined the Royal Canadian Regiment on January 19, 1954 and went to Wainright Alberta to take a parachuting course. He then went to Shiloh, Manitoba to take the “High Tower Course” after which he was posted to Germany where he spent 2 ½ years. Gordon was injured twice while he served and spent two months in a British Military Hospital..
Gordon was discharged in March of 1960.
