DEMERY, DAVE
Dave Demery was born in Ahmic Harbour in 1908. He was the son of William Victor and Mary (Paul) Demery, born 1908.
Dave, following in the footsteps of his stepfather, William Victor Demery, enlisted in WWII.
At time of writing, it is not known when Dave enlisted but it is known that he became part of the Queen’s Own Rifles.
Dave Demery may have been a cook. But, Jack Crossman recall’s Dave speaking of being in the slit trench and that he apparently saw action. Dave stayed in the occupational forces and spoke of guarding prisoners.
