LANGFORD, PTE. LLOYD ERNEST ‘BUD’

Lloyd Ernest ‘Bud’ Langford was born April 8, 1923 in Seguin Falls to Ernest George and Nellie (Vickers) Langford. He married Jullie ‘Joan’ Nelson.

Bud’s parents resided on a farm at Seguin Falls (later moving to Parry Sound). From his birth to the

age of 16, Bud resided at Seguin Falls, moving then to Nobel where he resided until age 18. From

age 18 to 22 he resided in Sherbrooke, Quebec and England.

Bud received his schooling at SS#4 Monteith Twp., Seguin Falls from 1929-1936.

Serving in the war, Bud was in combat in Normandy on D Day with “Les Fusiliers de Sherbrooke’

Tank Regiment and the only survivor of his crew. He was wounded in combat at the Falaise Gap.

He died February 12, 1992 and is buried in Spence Cemetery.
