Joseph Edgar Bertram ‘Bert’ Patterson was born June 6, 1912 at Sunny Slope, the son of William Patterson and Jane Harrison.

In John Macfie’s book “Sons of the Pioneers” pages 19-34, there is a story of a Bert Patterson whose experiences include becoming a POW. The Bert Patterson to whom John spoke grew up in Port McNichol and is a different person than the Bert Patterson from Hagerman Twp.
