Archibald ‘Archie’ Daniel Wager was born September 8, 1892  at Fifth Depot Lake in Frontenac County, the son of James Nelson Wager and  Lottie Cousins.

At the time of the 1901 census, the family lived at Hinchinbrooke, Addington County

At the time of the 1911 census, Archie was living in McKenzie Twp. on Lot 5, Concession 2 as a lodger with the VanVolkenburg family. He was identified as a labourer. Elgin VanVolkenburg the head of the household was a lumberman and ran a saw mill.

Archie enlisted April 24, 1916 in the 162nd  at Burks Falls. In his Attestation papers he identified that at the time of enlistment he lived in Ahmic Harbour.

Archie married Annie Adeline Smith. They had four children, the first born in 1919.

At the time of the 1921 census, Archie and Annie together with children Harold and Dora (ages 2 and 1) were identified as living at Ahmic Lake.

Archie died November 19, 1957 and is buried in Spence.

In his Discharge Certificate, Archie is identified as having served in Canada.

He was discharged December 24, 1918.
