Lincoln Avenue and West Lincoln Avenue together run east-west across western and south-central Woodland (south of Main Street). They are the first thoroughfare south of Main Street, and for most of their length, they are the first street of any kind south of Main Street. However, a few very short streets, including Dog Gone Alley, do occur between them in some places.
Lincoln Avenue becomes West Lincoln Avenue west of West Street.
Lincoln Avenue
Lincoln Avenue runs from West Street to a dead end just past 6th Street (just short of East Street). Situated south of Main Street and north of Oak Avenue, it intersects the following streets in order from West to East:
- Cunningham Lane (north only)
- Grand Avenue (north only)
- Academy Lane (north)/McKinley Avenue (south)
- Saunders Way (south only)
- Cleveland Street
- Walnut Street
- Crossed Trees Alley (south only; the alley is not officially named)
- Elm Street
- College Street
- Scout Alley (south only; the alley is not officially named)
- 1st Street
- 2nd Street
- 3rd Street
- Giant Monkey Alley (south only; the alley is not officially named)
- 4th Street
- 5th Street
- 6th Street
Along the way, it passes by Yolo Eats and the Woodland Police Department before ending between a Woodland Joint Unified School District administration building and the Historic Woodland Train Depot.
West Lincoln Avenue
West Lincoln Avenue runs from West Street to County Road 98. It intersects California Street, Summertree Lane, Community Lane, Cottonwood Street, Daniels Street, Cunningham Way, and Ashley Avenue. Along the way, it passes by CVS Pharmacy, the Yolo County Public Agency Risk Management Insurance Authority, and the Yolo County Office of Education before ending behind Raley's.
