It is bordered by Pennsylvania Road, King Road, Fort Street, Sibley Road and the Detroit River. West Jefferson Avenue, Quarry Road and Grange Road pass through Riverview. The current mayor is Andy Swift.
It was incorporated as a city in 1959, thus relegating Monguagon Township to the history books.
