Cudweeds are annual or perennial forbs in the Antennaria, Gamochaeta, Gnaphalium, and Pseudognaphalium genera of the Gnaphalieae tribe of the aster family. The Gnaphalieae tribe also contains cottonroses and woolly marbles. Many cudweeds are native to the Yuba-Sutter area.
