Cudweeds - Yuba-Sutter

Cudweeds are annual or perennial forbs in the Antennaria, Gamochaeta, Gnaphalium, and Pseudognaphalium genera of the Gnaphalieae tribe of the aster family. The Gnaphalieae tribe also contains cottonroses and woolly marbles. Many cudweeds are native to the Yuba-Sutter area.

Western marsh cudweed (also called lowland cudweed) is a cudweed that is native to Yuba and Sutter Counties and typically grows at elevations below 9,500 feet. It is found in central oak woodland, riparian forest, valley grassland, and yellow pine forest. It usually grows in wetlands.
