Slate Creek is a tributary of the Yuba River north fork that is about 26 miles long. It begins in Sierra County and forms part of the border between Sierra County and Plumas County. It flows into the Yuba River north fork in Yuba County, about three miles southeast of Strawberry Valley.

Tributaries of Slate Creek in Yuba County include Brushy Creek, Gold Run, Simon Ravine, and Stowman Ravine.
