The Tisdale Bypass (also called Tisdale Weir) is a 4.6-mile-long floodwater bypass that diverts high water from the Sacramento River into the Sutter National Wildlife Refuge section of the Sutter Bypass. The levees of the Tisdale Bypass are maintained by the California Department of Water Resources.1

Tisdale Road runs along the south bank of the Tisdale Bypass, and the small town of Tisdale is located just south of the bypass. Reclamation Road crosses the Tisdale Bypass just north of Hinsdale.
